Schway

A lean, fast coding agent for your terminal.

SHIPPEDShipped

Started · Updated

schway terminal session: the user asks it to fix a clamp function; schway reads src/clamp.ts, shows a one-line diff that swaps Math.max for Math.min(hi, Math.max(lo, n)), runs the test with exit code 0, and reports "Fixed clamp so it respects the upper bound."
Frames from Schway's own demo recording, which runs against an offline fixture model, and its real --help output.

What is it?

Schway is a coding agent that lives in your terminal. Give it a task and it reads and edits files, runs commands and tests, then lets you review each change as a diff. You decide how much it may do on its own: everything, ask first, or read-only. It also runs headless for scripts, and saves sessions you can branch and resume.

Why did I build it?

My previous coding agent, J.A.R.N., was built on top of an agent framework, and working inside its constraints got painful. So I started over with my own small, fast agent loop.

Can I try it?

Yes. With Bun 1.2+ installed, run npm install -g schway, start schway, and sign in to a model provider.
